You never know where the next smash musical is going to come from. Catch Me If You Can is based on the 2002 Steven Spielberg film that told the true tale of young con man Frank Abagnale, Jr., who swindled millions in the ’60s while pretending to be a pilot for PanAm. The musical adaptation, including the likes of “The Pinstripes Are All That They See” and “The Man Inside the Clues,” was spawned in 2009 and hit Broadway in 2011, grabbing a Tony Award nom for Best Musical. The US tour kicks off on the 7th at 6:30 pm at the Providence Performing Arts Center, 220 Weybosset St, and runs today and Wednesday at 7 pm, Oct 11 and 12 at 7:30 pm, Oct 13 at 2 and 8 pm, and Oct 14 at 1 pm | $42-$69 | 401.421.ARTS | ppacri.org
