Anita Coelho Brazilian Ensemble
One of the prime movers in Boston’s world-music scene also happens to be a phenomenal singer herself, and she knows how to put together a great band. The Anita Coelho Brazilian Ensemble will feature its namesake’s powerful vocalizing with support from saxophonist/flutist Paul Lieberman, pianist Alexei Tsiganov, bassist Fernando Huergo, drummer/percussionist Renato Malavasi, and special-guest guitarist Sergio Brandão.
