Dennis Miller’s three-decade CV is sprawling, like his penchant for similes and extended riffs and rants (a 1996 HBO special cheekily summarized his fondness for obscure references: Citizen Arcane). Miller has cracked wise and followed his multi-faceted muse on SNL, HBO, and Monday Night Football; he’s had radio shows, written books, hosted game shows, hawked M&Ms, and become a bit of a pundit, leaning conservative yet embracing libertarianism (“I don’t believe in abortion but I’m pro-choice ’cause it’s none of my business”). He also does a road show with Bill O’Reilly (“Bolder & Fresher”; we’re not sure who is what).
