A screening of Kill All Redneck Pricks: KARP LIVES! 1990-1998 + performances by Tinsel Teeth + Idiot Vehicle + Party Pigs
Ever heard of KARP? Probably not. The post-hardcore trio formed in Tumwater, WA, in 1990 and released three albums on K Records, but didn’t make a mark far beyond the Olympia rock scene. William Badgley tells the band’s unassuming story in Kill All Redneck Pricks: KARP LIVES! 1990-1998. “It’s just a tale of loving something and loving the people that you do that thing with,” he says. The documentary has loads of performance footage, plus interviews with Olympia K owner Calvin Johnson, the Melvins, Kathleen Hanna of Bikini Kill, and Kimya Dawson. It screens at 7 pm at AS220, 115 Empire Street, Providence. Idiot Vehicle, Party Pigs, and Tinsel Teeth will perform after the film | $6 | 401.831.9327 | as220.org
