The Slack Republic
Summary: Based out of Atlanta Georgia, The Slack Republic formed in the spring of 2005 and played their first show was opening up for HR (of Bad Brains) 8 months later. Lead by singer/songwriter M.J. Zilla, guitarist Pierre Moore took on the role of band leader and producer, got a couple of friends together and hit the road. In a matter of months the band had closed out a show at the Knitting factory New York, played at the legendary CBGB's as well as select dates on the Van's Warped Tour while completing two east coast tours.
