Avoidance Theory
Summary: Avoidance Theory was initially formed in 2001 as a bedroom band project with no plans to release any songs publicly. Along the way, the Alhambra-based duo comprised of Bryan and Linda started recording their songs through a four-track into a low-budget PC multi-track program. A noticeable style began to form which combines a ", Twin Peaks", -esque approach to quirky folk songwriting along with vocal harmonies reminiscient of Low and Ida. With the encouragement from friends who heard the songs, they decided to release some of them and even play a few local shows.
