Three BiMPys and counting for DJ Tek (who first won as a write-in nominee back in '09), now a multi-media mogul on a mission. When he isn't building up his acting credentials on Law & Order: SVU or ABC's Body of Proof, or getting his entrepreneurial groove on with his all-encompassing UrbanVision marketing company, you can find RI's top turntablist slicing and slicing on the decks from Providence to New Jersey. His Streethop Syndicated Mixshow continues to receive major airplay across the US. He has more than 11,000 Twitter followers, and there's footage on his FB page with Tek and his crew inside Diddy's studio. Tek is helping prep the first annual Mixer Convention in August, a weekend of conferences, product knowledge, and beat battles with Jermaine Dupri, DJ Whoo Kid, Clinton Sparks, and RI's Dipset rep Araab Muzik already signed on. He has spun for Katt Williams and the And1 Mixtape Tour, and shared stages with LL Cool J and Chris Brown. Yet somehow Micah Berkley finds time to mentor kids through various volun-teer organizations. Bravo, DJ Tek!
