Weird Al meets Waylon Jennings, anyone? Hank Sinatra Jr. is “on some other shit,” as the kids say and, yes, dude defies the laws of normalcy, although he recently had the presence of mind to dump his former alias: Bi Anal Ham Sandwich. Hank is still hamming it up much to the delight of his equally batty fan base, who came out in bunches for a somewhat surprising victory over the [Viennagram:]. Sinatra Jr. indeed defies genres, playing with bands like Girl Haggard and the Jesse Minute and then headlining a bill with local loud acts Yavinfive and the Unibrows. And with the name change Sinatra Jr. promises even more of a “stage show,” with plenty of visual snacks to accompany the country-fried ditties (I gotta admit “Success Pool” is pretty damn catchy), all with an undeniable nod to heroes Andy Kaufman and Wesley Willis.
